Dallas, Texas – August 12, 2019 – This year RAW Dallas Presents ARISE and Rachael Yvonne Davis has been selected as the DJ for this year’s event that will be hosted Thursday, August 15, 2019, at 6:30 PM at the House of Blues. RAW Natural Born Artist is an international community made up of creative individuals across the globe. Their highly anticipated events spotlight independent cutting-edge talent in visual art, film, fashion & accessories design, music, performance art, beauty, crafts, tech and photography in over 70+ cities around the globe and Rachael Yvonne Davis was selected as their official DJ to help curate the ultimate experience.
“Purveyor of smooth journeys, good vibes, and chic ambiances.” That’s how Rachael Yvonne Davis, also known as RYD or Rachael Yvonne, describes herself as a DJ. Never afraid to step outside of the box, her musical selections are at times her voice and therapy. Having been exposed to an eclectic combination of Soul ( Otis Redding, Nina Simone), Funk music (George Clinton, War), New Age (Karunesh, Adiemus), Jazz (Billie Holiday, Wayman Tisdale, Boney James) Classical (George Walker, Scott Joplin, Leopold), … all which became infused with her own love and appreciation for both hip-hop and Neo-Soul. Today, this translates into sets where she blends multiple genres and time period which cultivates pieces of music that speak to the moment, build energy and helps to curate the ultimate experience. Rachael has worked with various special events and organizations as well as Prestige Luxury brands Estee Lauder, Kopari, Ulta Beauty and the Rosewood Crescent to name a few.
When she isn’t on the 1s and 2 you might find her on the runway, a commercial set, making an appearance on behalf of her platforms or vast pageant system. Rachael Yvonne is a signed professional model and has also held the titles of Miss Texas Plus America and Miss New York Plus America, to name a few and soon she will hold the title of Dr. Rachael Yvonne Davis as the first person in her family to graduate with a Doctoral Degree. Her crown is adorned with praises from supporters, fans and friends from around the world.
