Kommunity Fitness, the Canadian-born fitness concept founded by entrepreneur and former professional athlete Aaron Keay, is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its second studio in the vibrant Kitsilano neighborhood of Vancouver, salted for Summer 2025. This launch marks a significant milestone in the brand’s ambitious trajectory, which includes a dynamic expansion into the United States through a franchise-based growth strategy.
After proving the strength and soul of its original concept, Kommunity Fitness is poised to bring its unique brand of high-performance, community-driven fitness to an international stage—taking on some of the top boutique fitness brands in the United States.
“We’re a made-in-Canada fitness concept with a global mindset,” said Aaron Keay, founder of Kommunity Fitness. “Kitsilano is just the next step in a vision that sees us empowering local communities across North America through movement, connection, and strength. We’re coming in strong, and we’re here to compete at the highest level.”
Exclusive Event Kicks Off “Kommunity Wars” – A Signature Fitness Experience
To celebrate the Kitsilano launch and set the tone for what’s to come, Kommunity Fitness will debut its annual flagship competition event: The TENZ Games —a bold and electric fitness experience inspired by the growth of Hyrox, Events such as City Shred, and the need to give Kommunity Members something local to train towards and measure their performance.
The inaugural TENZ Games will take place in Aaron Keay’s own backyard—an invitation-only gathering of Members, athletes, top-tier influencers, and select members of the media. This launch event is set to be an unforgettable fusion of athleticism, culture, and community energy—defining what the Kommunity stands for.
With a scalable business model and a powerful community-first brand ethos, Kommunity Fitness is targeting key metropolitan markets across the U.S. for franchise expansion. Each location will carry the DNA of the original Vancouver studio while reflecting the local culture of its community—a core tenet of Kommunity’s approach.
