Under the bright lights of Beilun Sports and Arts Centre in Ningbo on the evening of 2 August, Poland lifted the championship trophy after winning the 2026 FIVB Men’s Volleyball Nations League. Following a thrilling five-set contest, Poland edged the United States 3–2 to successfully defend their VNL title, further reinforcing their position at the top of the FIVB World Rankings.
The victory secured Poland their third FIVB Men’s Volleyball Nations League title, following previous triumphs in 2023 and 2025.
The climax of the tournament unfolded in Beilun, widely known as the “home of Chinese volleyball.” From the opening quarter-finals on 29 July to the championship match on 2 August, eight of the world’s top men’s volleyball teams—Japan, Poland, Slovenia, Italy, the United States, Türkiye, Ukraine and hosts China—competed at Beilun Sports and Arts Centre over five action-packed days. The event marked the second consecutive year that Beilun hosted the FIVB Men’s Volleyball Nations League Finals, representing another milestone in the city’s 21-year association with the sport.
Since hosting its first international volleyball event in 2005, Beilun has staged 25 top-tier international volleyball events, including Olympic qualification tournaments, the FIVB World Grand Prix and the FIVB World League. Twenty-one years of dedication to the sport have made “Beilun” and “volleyball” virtually inseparable.
Building on the success of last year’s tournament, this year’s event featured a series of further upgrades. Beilun Sports and Arts Centre underwent smart technology upgrades, while professional 4K broadcasting equipment brought every thrilling moment to audiences around the world in stunning clarity. The organising committee also organised a range of interactive activities, including fan meet-and-greets and a Volleyball Carnival, ensuring that the excitement extended well beyond the court. At the same time, a series of cultural and tourism public‑benefit activities were launched alongside the competition, showcasing Beilun’s picturesque harbour, coastal scenery and distinctive maritime character to audiences worldwide through the tournament’s international broadcasts.
With the presentation of the championship trophy in Beilun, the 2026 FIVB Men’s Volleyball Nations League Finals concluded successfully. Through its outstanding event organisation, Beilun once again demonstrated the high standard of its ability to host world-class international volleyball competitions, laying a solid foundation for attracting more world-class events in the future.
